Dear Reader
July has to be my favourite month. Growing up in the
UK, July was always one of the warmer months, so it
reminds me of picnics and sitting under the umbrella on
the lawn - and of course Wimbledon! Oh ... and of
course perhaps another reason why I like July so much
is because it's my birthday month - the 12th, in case
anyone is interested! ;)
Lots of other birthdays this month, so special wishes to
my good friends Tom, Sophia, Rosehannah, Gordon,
Natasha, Edward - and extra-special wishes to Douglas
on your 'big one'!
Enjoy your July. Keep well and stay healthy!
Shirley
| Structure your messages logically with my 4-Point Plan |
 |
Many people tell me they can read an e-mail message
several times and still not really understand what the
reader is trying to say, or what action is necessary. Do
you ever feel the same way? One of the reasons for
this is because the writer hasn't organised his/her
thoughts and presented the message in a good, logical
structure.
This month I want to tell you about a simple 4-point
plan that will help you to structure your messages
logically, and make them easier to understand - and
therefore more effective!
Find out more about my
4-Point Plan on my website, and help yourself and
your reader by structuring your messages
logically.

GOOD TO MEET YOU
It was great to work with my good friend and great
trainer Ricky
Lien in June on his unique training forum "Why
training doesn't work ... what went wrong? ... and what
can you do about it?" The forum, which was attended
by HR and Training executives, was interesting,
thought-provoking, lively and very interactive.
Due to popular request, Partners
Conference & Event Management will be organising
another "Why training doesn't work ..." forum on
21 August, so if you are interested in attending please
e-mail
delphine@partners.com.
