Send/Take

If you send your children to school in the morning, you do not go with them. If you mean that you drive them to school, then you should use the word take. Use take when you are going to hand something to someone, or when you are asking someone to do the delivery.

Examples:

Please send your report by e-mail before Friday.
Will you please take me to the airport on Monday?
I must take these flowers to Mandy in hospital.
Please take this form to John in Accounts.

(NB: See also Bring/Fetch)

Stay

We use stay for short periods only. For example: I am staying at the Oberoi Hotel when I visit Mumbai. If you live somewhere, that's the word you should use.

For example:

I am staying at the Oberoi Hotel when I visit Mumbai.
I live in Holland Village, Singapore.
